Your recordings

Your audio is recorded on your device, in your browser, and never uploaded. The site uses your microphone, or the tab or screen sound you choose to share, only while you are recording. Recordings stay in the open page until you save them; when you close or reload it, any you haven't saved are gone. If you choose to write a recording to a file as it records, it goes straight into the file you pick on your device. If you use Share, the recording goes to the app you choose. Your browser remembers whether you allowed the microphone; you can change that in its site settings. Your settings live only in the page URL, so they appear in your browser history and in links you share. The site has no accounts, shows no ads, and never asks for your name, email, or other personal details.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic. It runs only after you accept it in our consent banner, so our legal basis is your consent; if you decline, it doesn't run. Once accepted, it sets cookies and sends Google (United States) your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you visit, and your approximate location. Your audio and file names are never sent. Google Signals and ad personalization are turned off. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage for up to 12 months, and you can change it anytime with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of each page; withdrawing stops Analytics and deletes its cookies. Feedback

If you use the "Send Feedback" link, it opens a Google Form with this site's name filled in. Anything you submit is sent to Google (United States) and to us, and we use it only to improve our sites. Please don't include personal details you don't want to share. Google's privacy policy applies to the form.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, which may be located in a country other than your home country, may log IP addresses and similar request details as part of running and securing the site, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie to block automated abuse. We don't use this information for anything. (For EU/UK visitors, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure.)
